Dr. James Hannigan is a highly experienced Therapeutic Optometrist with more than 40 years of dedicated service in eye care. A proud graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry, Dr. Hannigan completed extensive clinical externships through the university’s optometry program, where he trained in a variety of eye health specialties and worked alongside respected leaders in the field. His passion for education later led him to serve as an adjunct professor at the University of Houston, helping guide and mentor the next generation of optometrists.
Throughout his career, Dr. Hannigan has built a reputation for his thorough, compassionate approach to patient care. He is known for taking the time to listen, explain conditions clearly, and ensure every patient feels confident in their treatment plan. His decades of experience allow him to diagnose and manage a wide range of vision and medical eye conditions with exceptional skill.
Outside the exam room, Dr. Hannigan enjoys expressing his creativity through photography and spending quality time with his son. Whether behind the camera or out in the community, he brings the same attention to detail and genuine care that define his work in optometry.
